Includes 9 photographic prints taken at various locations by a number of photographers including William Pierce, Brunswick, Me.; J. Gurney & Son, New York, N.Y.; Davis Brothers, Portsmouth, N. H.; L. H. Hale, Boston; F. S. Keeler, Charles Cohill, and Wenderoth & Taylor, all of Philadelphia. Most of the portraits are unidentified, however one is of Fordyce D. Barker and Charlie Doremus; another of Sallie F. Godwin and Susy Dwight. Flyleaf is inscribed "Sarah O. Jewett, S. Berwick, 1893."

She produced novels, stories, and sketches, generally concerned with the lives and traditions of women in the rural areas of coastal New England.
